Part 7
Settings and Environments
This will be my last (I hope) segment of the Sonic fanbase rant. I will try to keep this short so I can go ahead and wrap this up to move onto other things in my concense. I can't stand leaving something incomplete because eventually it'll nag me into oblivion even if it's something small. But without further a deux here's Part 7...
If there's one thing I've continually enjoyed it's the visual aesthetics of the comic. YOU CANNOT DENY that the artists put a ton of work into making the characters and the environment look believable. I enjoy the world of mobius because they do a good job of making it seem like a real location. Knothole village has to be one of the most interseting to me. it started out as this highly populated area hidden by woodlands until it was converted into the site of the Freedom Fighters to repel Robotnik's attacks. How the characters interact and fit into the world is a complete 1 up in my opinion.
I hear some people enjoy the game locations more than the comics because they're so much more recognizable...we'll they're kinda right. They are more recognizable but does that mean I have to see them ALL THE DAMN TIME. Seriously how many renditions of the classic Green Hill do you need Sega? Stop spoon feeding your classic fanbase so much most of them are the main reason you're in the shape you're in. Because Sega likes to dick ride the classic games so much they're so scared of losing their "loyal" fans that they won't release the past. Sonic The Hedgehog 4 had a VERY guilty fetish for reusing locations in previous games escpically Episode 2. -_-.....okay maybe they're not that similar but there're no real stage gimmicks besides Oil Desert's sand storm. But even with all that bitching, I can still say....*groan* I do rather like a lot of the stages in the games.
I guess that wraps up what I think about the locations of the games and comics. I feel really sorry if this turns out lackluster to some but the good news is this is only part of the Sonic Fandom. There are other topics I can cover but I'll save them for later I guess.
